He was selected First Team All-State in Class AA his senior year, possibly Fenwick's first and only Class AA recipient (Fenwick dropped to single A status the next year). Greg was also selected Co-Lineman of the Year in Southwest Ohio for his senior year. He received the Falcon Award(three years in three sports).

Greg was elected Class President all four years and graduated from Fenwick third in his class. After graduation he received a full 4-year scholarship to Austin Peay State University. He was a four-year member of the football team and was an Academic All-American his senior year. Greg was elected Class President his senior year, and vice president of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Accounting. He has a CPA from the State of Ohio and an MBA from Xavier. Greg practiced accounting for ten years and then began a second career in executive recruiting. He currently owns and manages two separate businesses: an Executive Recruiting firm in Ft. Wright, Ky., and an Industrial Staffing firm in Sharonville, Ohio.

Greg has been married for 26 years to Fenwick graduate Leslie (Vogelsang). They have three daughters; Olivia, Hillary, and Molly. All three girls played high school soccer and were part of their school's first soccer State Championship team. Greg has coached youth soccer and basketball for several years, winning state championships in recreational soccer and AAU basketball.
