Jason Daumeyer is the owner of most of the Falcon football records for passing. In his three years as a varsity quarterback in Dick Martin's run and shoot offense, Jason rewrote the record books for single season passing attempts, completions, yardage, and touchdowns. He finished as career leader in all those categories with over 3900 total yards and 26 touchdowns to his credit.
Dick Martin, Jason's head coach during his years at Fenwick, remembers Jason as a "competitive leader." According to Martin, "Jason was as good a quarterback as he coached" during his tenure. "Jason had a real good command of the game," says Martin.
Under Jason's leadership, the Falcons achieved consecutive nine-win seasons, the second winningest two-year period in Falcons football history behind the '73-'74 state championship teams. Fenwick reached the state playoffs after his junior and senior campaigns, with the 1988 team reaching the state semifinals. |
