Ed Watson was one of the cornerstones of some outstanding Falcon basketball and baseball teams of the early 1980's. He was a three-year varsity starter at point guard for basketball teams that won two district championships and the 1982 Ohio State championship. His individual honors include twice being named to All-Mid Miami League and Dayton Journal-Herald Area All-Star teams, Ed was named to the Ohio All-State Tournament Team in 1982, and after the 1982-1983 season he was named honorable mention All-State, Southwest Ohio District 2nd Team, and played in the District 15 All-Star Game.
He played four years of varsity baseball as a shortstop and leadoff hitter for Fenwick teams that won Sectional(1983), Regional(1982) and State(1981) championships. Ed was named honorable mention All-MML three consecutive years, winning the Dennis Bowman award in 1983 as Fenwick's top baseball player. |
