Jim Fedders, a dedicated and determined athlete and an outstanding representative for Fenwick during his career, was a standout in football and wrestling for the Falcons.
He excelled on both sides of the ball for the Falcon gridders as a running back and linebacker. As a junior, Jim rushed for 950 yards and 15 touchdowns and also led the Falcons in tackles. For his efforts, he was named to the Mid-Miami League first team and the Southwestern Ohio All-District second team. As a senior, Jim rushed for 1100 yards and 15 touchdowns and again led the team in tackles. He was the first player to be named to the all-MML first team on offense and defense in the same year. He was also named to the All-District first team and was selected to the Dayton Jounal-Herald All-Star Team.
Jim also stands out as one of the most successful wrestlers in Fenwick history. He earned District championships in his sophomore, junior and senior years compiling a fine four-year record of 78 wins versus 13 losses. Jim won the MML championship in his junior and senior years. He finished in the top 8 in Ohio in his sophomore and junior years and was fourth in the State as a senior. |
